Book Excerpt:

“A young boy, adventuring out that morning with his new bow and arrows, came out of the forest and stood by the body of the fawn. He stared at the still form for a long time. The wind began to whisper, softly at first. Then its more insistent breath rustled the leaves. And from somewhere in the audible air, the boy felt a soft but clear invitation to kneel down and touch the fawn.”
